LED GU10 Bulb Lighting Pays Off in the Long Run

The advantages of LED lighting are tremendous. Simply put, LED lights use far less energy and last far longer than a traditional halogen or incandescent light. In addition, LED lights are safer than halogen and incandescent equivalents. Many people are scared off by the current cost of LED GU10 Bulb lamps, but you must look at the long-term operating cost as well as the other advantages that LED provides over traditional lighting.

LED lights require far less energy and the bulbs last far longer than an equivalent halogen light. LED MR16 Bulb lighting also burns at a far cooler temperature than a halogen light, making them a much safer option. You don't want to touch the base of an LED, but the glass stays relatively cool. By contrast, a halogen light operates at a very high temperature and can burn you or cause a fire. All of that heat used by the halogen lamp is inefficient. The halogen light emits 90% of its energy as heat and only 10% is used for lighting.

The biggest problem with LED lighting is the cost. When compared to an equivalent halogen, the LED MR16 Bulb light costs around 5 times as much up front. The upfront cost is only the beginning. Remember that an LED light equivalent to a 35 watt halogen will only consume around 4 watts of power. In addition, an LED light will last up to 25 times longer than a halogen light. Most people would willingly pay 5 times as much for a light that uses less than 1/8 the power and lasts 25 times longer.

When you add it all up, it is clear that LED GU10 Bulb lighting is the wave of the future, especially as prices continue to drop. Replace your old halogen lights with energy efficient and long lasting LED lighting. Your investment will pay off in the long run.
