Ineffective Mouse Button – How to Repair It by Yourself Quickly?

When you use the mouse to do your computer work, most frequently you press the left button, so the left mouse button

is mangled or has weird problems most easily. Here I will take this left part as an example to show you how to repair an ineffective mouse, and the essential solution is to replace the button switch.

Step 1 Remove the mouse lid and take out the circuit board.

Step 2 Find out the left button switch and bear in mind its mounting type.

Step 3 On the reverse side of the circuit board there are three pin joints. Put some rosin onto an electric iron and then heat these three joints with this iron. After that you can disassemble the switch by gently pulling it out.

Step 4 Take the switch with you to the shop and buy a new one.

Step 5 Melt down the tin in the switch mounting holes with the electric iron and punch the pin jacks with a pin.

Step 6 Insert the new switch, drop some tin onto the three pin joints and make sure that they are welded steadily.

Note that during the welding do not let the iron stay on the joints so long in case that the high temperature would damage the switch. If you can not get the same switch as you used before, well then you also can repair the mouse by exchanging the left button switch with the ball switch.
