Root Structure of a Deciduous Tree
A deciduous tree is a type of tree that can be found in a forest in Northern America or Europe or in parts of Asia. The term deciduous refers to a tree that sheds its leaves for part of the year. The shedding of the leaves usually occurs during the winter months for a deciduous tree that is located in a colder climate whereas a deciduous tree in a tropical climate tends to shed its leaves during the dry season.
There are several tree and plant species that are part of the deciduous tree family. Some of the more popular deciduous trees are maples, oaks and elm trees. These types of deciduous trees can be found in rural and urban areas. A deciduous tree has a very long lifespan that can range from one decade to several decades. The lifespan of the deciduous tree is determined by the health of the tree and certain environmental factors.
A deciduous trees needs the appropriate soil, climate, temperature and precipitation conditions in order to become sufficiently rooted. Once a deciduous tree plants its roots the roots become bigger and deeper as the tree grows. Many deciduous trees are as big or bigger then a two-story residential house. The roots of the deciduous tree are very powerful and can adapt to different levels of moisture.
A deciduous tree can be either large or small. Larger deciduous trees are found in a forest. A deciduous tree helps to provide the forest with shade, beauty and a level of protection from the harsh temperatures of the winter months. A deciduous tree helps to moderate extreme temperatures and to offset as poor air quality.
When one is preparing to plant a deciduous tree the should be planted on a basis of space availability, proximity to irrigation lines, soil conditions and water requirements. A deciduous tree is prone to storm breakage so this type of tree should be planted away from walks, driveways, buildings and utility lines.
When selecting a deciduous tree one should choose a location that allows the tree enough space for growth without having to be severely pruned. When a home gardener is planting a deciduous tree check for obtrusions such as overhead utility lines, tall fences and buildings. If space is limited you want to select a deciduous tree that is narrow and grows in an upright position.
A deciduous tree is found in Europe, Asia and North America. This is a very common tree that is found in most forests. A deciduous tree is known for its beauty during the spring, summer and fall months. Right before the deciduous tree is getting ready to shed its leaves the leaves will change color. This is beautiful to witness.
Almost everybody enjoys the beauty and the shade that is provided by a deciduous tree. These types of trees are perfect for reducing harsh winds, to improve the air quality and to handle extremes in temperatures when the seasons change. These are the most common reasons on the popularity of the deciduous tree.

Deciduous $71.7 Deciduous means falling off at maturity or tending to fall off (deriving from the Latin verb decido, fall off ) and is typically used in reference to trees or shrubs that lose their leaves seasonally and to the shedding of other plant structures such as petals after flowering or fruit when ripe. In a more specific sense deciduous means the dropping of a part that is no longer needed, or falling away after its purpose is finished. In plants it is the result of natural processes. Deciduous has a similar meaning when referring to animal parts such as deciduous antlers in deer, or deciduous teeth, also known as baby teeth, in some mammals (including human children).
