Use Structural Models & Make Construction More Profitable
Structural 3D modeling is a unique part of building construction. It is quite rightly important, because it provides robust and expressive structural models of buildings. And in today’s neck to neck competitive world, structural models and its applications are very much important. Using them, any building professional can achieve desired construction outputs.
Now let’s see what structural models are all about, what are its various applications and utilities for construction world. Structural models are 3D models of various building parts. It shows 3 dimensional views of any building object. Such 3D views of buildings are heavily used to get exact idea about your building’s geometry. Structural models give an expressive overview of your building – allowing you to view your proposed building with 360 degree views.
As structural models provide a detailed representation of your building’s design, look and performance, it has become very much popular in builders, contractors and engineers. They maximize such information - spatial relationships, geographic information and quantities/ properties of building components. Sometimes such details are provided in the form of 3D sketches of building parts. 3D sketches give all important information in a pictorial format.
Now looking at structural models and its applications for construction world, some of them are as follow:
• Structural equation models
• REVIT 3D structural models, REVIT models
• Structural CAD 3D models, CAD models, 3D CAD models
• 3D models buildings, 3D constructional models
• Structural 3D models of various building types such as residential, commercial and industrial buildings
• Steel structural models, truss 3D models, concrete 3D models
• Shop drawings models, steel fabrication models, rebar models
• Sheet metal models, structural design models and steel member models
Above mentioned applications and utilities of structural models are on high demand in builders and related professionals. Apart from these benefits, structural models can save precious amount of time and money of users. This is because of ease in implementing structural models in construction.

Automated Model Building $348.89 This is the first book on automated model building, a discipline of automated deduction that is of growing importance. Although models and their construction are important per se, automated model building has appeared as a natural enrichment of automated deduction, especially in the attempt to capture the human way of reasoning. The book provides an historical overview of the field of automated deduction, and presents the foundations of different existing approaches to model construction, in particular those developed by the authors. Finite and infinite model building techniques are presented. The main emphasis is on calculibased methods, and relevant practical results are provided. The book is of interest to researchers and graduate students in computer science, computational logic and artificial intelligence. It can also be used as a textbook in advanced undergraduate courses. Multivariable Model - Building $130 Multivariable regression models are of fundamental importance in all areas of science in which empirical data must be analyzed. This book proposes a systematic approach to building such models based on standard principles of statistical modeling. The main emphasis is on the fractional polynomial method for modeling the influence of continuous variables in a multivariable context, a topic for which there is no standard approach. Existing options range from very simple step functions to highly complex adaptive methods such as multivariate splines with many knots and penalisation. This new approach, developed in part by the authors over the last decade, is a compromise which promotes interpretable, comprehensible and transportable models. |

Systematic Model Building with Flavor Symmetries $125.85 The observation of neutrino masses and lepton mixing has highlighted the incompleteness of the Standard Model of particle physics. In order to address these and further issues, Grand Unified Theories and flavor symmetries are considered. GUTs such as SU(5) are vertical symmetries unifying the SM particles into multiplets. They usually predict new particles which can naturally explain the smallness of the neutrino masses via the seesaw mechanism. Flavor symmetries are horizontal symmetries acting on the generation space of the SM particles. They can serve as an explanation for the different mixings in the quark and lepton sectors and their mass hierarchies. In this book, we develop and perform a new systematic model building approach comprising flavor symmetries, GUTs and the seesaw mechanism. The results of this approach are, e.g., diverse lepton flavor and GUT models, a systematic scan of lepton flavor violation, new mass matrices, a new understanding of lepton mixing angles, a general extension of the idea of quarklepton complementarity theta_12=pi/4epsilon/sqrt{2} and for the first time the QLC relation in an SU(5) GUT. Building Cycles $131 The global economic crisis of 2008 was precipitated by a housing market crash, thus highlighting the destabilizing influence of the property cycle upon the wider economy. This timely book by a world authority explores why cycles occur and how they affect the behaviour of real estate markets. The central argument put forward is that growth and instability are inextricably linked, and that building investment acts both as a key driver of growth and as the source of the most volatile cyclical fluctuations in an economy. The role of building cycles in both economic growth and urban development is explored through a theoretical review and a comparative historical analysis of UK and US national data stretching back to the start of the nineteenth century, together with a case study of the development of London since the start of the eighteenth century. A simulation model of the building cycle is presented and tested using data for the City of London office market. The analysis is then broadened to examine the operation of property cycles in global investment markets during the post-war period, focussing on their contribution to the diffusion of innovation, the accumulation of wealth and the propagation of market instability. Building Cycles: growth & instability concludes by synthesizing the main themes into a theoretical framework, which can guide our understanding of the operation and impact of building cycles on the modern economy. Postgraduate students on courses in property and in urban development as well as professional property researchers, urban economists and planners will find this a stimulating read – demanding but accessible. |

Building Sustainability $106.74 A sustainable construction develops the idea of low embodied energy, reduced greenhouse gas emission and water consumption, low operational and maintenance costs, durability, safety, adaptability and comfort. Some important aspects concerning building sustainability are presented in the book. In the first part, the concept of sustainable development and its position in the scientific world is discussed. The main aspects of three sustainability certificates (BREEAM, LEED and DGNB) are evaluated; a comparison between these tools is realized and some important ideas are underlined. In the second part, the authors proposed two proper models to evaluate the sustainability of a building or strengthening solution. The first one is a global model based on a scoring system for each dimension: ecological, economic and social. The second model is based on a simple formula and takes into account numerical values of the criteria. According to this model, the Building Sustainability Index (BSI) is obtained which is a facile instrument for civil engineering approach. The two evaluation models are applied on two case studies: a typical family dwelling and a strengthened element. Building Intuition $89.95 One of the primary purposes of any model is to build intuition and generate insights. Typically, a model is developed to be able to better understand phenomena that are otherwise difficult to comprehend. Models can also help in verifying the correctness of an intuition or judgment. In spite of the fact that many educators and practitioners recognize the intuition-building power of simple models, this is the first book in the field that uses the power of the basic models and principles to provide students and managers with an a oeintuitive understandinga of operations management. Building Intuition: Insights From Basic Operations Management Models and Principles touches on nine fundamental models and principles, and outlines the key insights behind each one. To ensure that the volume is accurate, authoritative, accessible and well-written, the chapters are developed by leading experts in each chapter area and written with the students and managers in mind. The booka (TM)s primary purpose is to motivate and to enable readers to develop insights with respect to a number of models that are central to the study and practice of operations management. |
