Do you enjoy beer, the Boston Red Sox, and big screens? If so, you'll discover that Boston bars near Fenway Park, home field for the Red Sox baseball team, will have all of the sports-related enjoyment that you could possibly want. They're popular spots before and after games--but if you missed getting tickets, you'll also find that they're great places to watch the games.

So which one should you visit when you're in the neighborhood?

Well, you'll have to decide. I'm going to tell you about three highly regarded Boston sports bars near Fenway. Each of them features well-brewed beverages, high-definition screens, and a congenial atmosphere-as well as its own unique benefits. Plus, they're all just a short walk from Fenway Park.

Game On! (82 Lansdowne Street) is right around the corner from Fenway--in fact, it's so close that you'll almost feel like you're in the stadium. A large part of that feeling is due to the top of the line video and sound equipment that make it a knock-out multimedia entertainment center. Baseball is king--but you'll also see other sports on the big screens here.

Food and drink are also top-notch. Beers and ales predominate, along with fairly standard Boston bar food--BBQed ribs, wings, and onion rings. However, you can also get awesome pulled pork, bistro steaks, and unusually good salads. Best of all, you may even spot some players in this popular spot.

Boston Beer Works (61 Brookline Ave), located right across the street from the stadium, is a local micro-brewery opening out into a bar and restaurant. Walk in, and you'll know as soon as you smell of the hops that you're in a real brewery. Plus, you get to see all of the equipment--and, of course, drink the beer.

On any given day, you'll have your choice of 15 or so beers, ales, and lagers created in the brewery. In addition to delicious versions of Boston bar food--creamy New England clam chowder, fish and chips, and burgers--you can also get things like a ginger-sesame stir-fry, panko chicken, and fabulous pan-roasted salmon with a malt topping. And of course, you'll enjoy the banks of high-def screens showing every sport imaginable.

Jillian's (145 Ipswich St)--is it a sports bar or a grown-up playground? Well, you can find seven--yes, seven!--bars within its huge three floors, as well as two restaurants and much more. This is the place to come if you'd like to get some exercise in addition to watching sports. Roll a few balls in the bowling alley, try out the dance floor, and get a game going at one of the 50 billiards tables.

The food is good too, and with seven bars, you certainly won't run out of places to drink. High definition screens--more than anyone can count--are everywhere so you'll have no trouble seeing the game if you can stop having fun yourself long enough to watch it.

As you can see, these three sports bars offer more than just great beer and big screens. In the streets near Boston's Fenway Park, you'll find many more terrific bars and restaurants where you can enjoy the game, savor a pint and some good food, and cheer for your favorite team--as long as it's the Red Sox!
