What you will do if you are on a road trip with your family members and all of a sudden you experience a flat tire or other problem (mechanical or electrical). What if you check your boot and there is no spare tire to switch the flat one?

If you are driving for any duration, there are risks that you will have to use a car recovery service. There have been car recovery services as long as there have been garages and repair shops, because the shops needed a way to get the disabled vehicles to their facilities for repair. Only during the last fifty years has car recovery really separated from the repair business.  Many Birmingham Car Recovery companies are still in the business of repairs, but they will, on the customer's request, carry the vehicle to another repair facility. There are some recovery organizations that run fleets of hundreds of recovery vehicles, but most organizations are small, family run businesses that operate anywhere from ten to fifty vehicles.  Also, the Highway Authority and other government entities run their own recovery services.

A modern recovery fleet will be comprised of different types of support and recovery vehicles.  These can include service vans (that function as a mobile workshop), tow vehicles, cranes, fork lifts, tractors, and sometimes even boats.  All vehicles have specialized bodies and equipment, making them the right choice for any car recovery job.
