Atlas Pasta Maker - Is It Worth The Money?
Homemade pasta is a treat that everyone should enjoy at least once in a while. The Atlas pasta maker is an authentic Italian machine that makes homemade pasta the traditional way. The Atlas pasta machine is a lot of fun to use especially if you are entertaining family or have kids in the house. Some of my earliest memories are of helping my mom make cavatelli from scratch.
The Atlas pasta maker is made of chrome plated steel and is easy to clean. Just put some flour on the machine before you begin and when you are finished wipe it down and put it away. One great tip for these machines is before you use it, if it has been stored for a while, fold up a paper towel and run it through the rollers once before you begin this will make sure that there is no grease on the rollers.
The Atlas pasta machine will clamp down to the edge of your counter top and uses one removable hand crank to roll out the dough and to cut the pasta. The Atlas pasta maker has 9 roller settings to gradually adjust the thickness of the dough. Just run the dough through the machine, adjust the settings and run it through again until you have the right thickness.
The manual atlas pasta maker runs about $75-$ 80 and will last a life time if it is taken care of properly.
If you are looking for more information on a Atlas pasta maker or want to find the best pricing for these machines take a look at my website for resources on both. Atlas Pasta Maker

The Atlas of Anatomy $201.24 Anatomically correct We owe a great debt to Jean Baptiste Marc Bourgery (1797?1849) for his Atlas of Anatomy, which was not only a massive event in medical history, but also remains one of the most comprehensive and beautifully illustrated anatomical treatises ever published in any language. In 1830, having received his doctorate in medicine three years prior, Bourgery began work on his magnificent atlas in cooperation with illustrator Nicolas Henri Jacob (1782?1871), a student of the French painter Jacques Louis David. The first volumes were published the following year, but completion of the treatise required nearly two decades of dedication; Bourgery lived just long enough to finish his labor of love, but the last of the treatises eight volumes was not published in its entirety until five years after his death. The four parts of Bourgerys treatise cover descriptive anatomy, surgical anatomy and techniques (exploring in detail nearly all the major operations that were performed during the first half of the 19th century), general anatomy and embryology, and microscopic anatomy. Jacobs spectacular handcolored, lifesize lithographs are remarkable for their clarity, color, and aesthetic appeal, reflecting a combination of direct laboratory observation and illustrative research; the images are to this day unsurpassed in anatomical illustration. This reprint includes the complete color plates?726 in total?and will finally allow not only those in the medical field but also artists, students, and anyone interested in the study of the human body to appreciate this important historical work.
