A: For the initial six to twelve inches, we recommend you backfill the wall with coarse stone and the rest of the wall can be backfilled with compacted soil.

A: It is recommended that you do install drainage behind the wall structure. This is a good idea, as it enables the water to flow away from the wall and this helps the wall maintain its strength.

Q7. Can I have a curved wall?
A: Yes, you can certainly have curves in your wall. There are specific retaining wall blocks that are made for curved walls or even corners.

Q8. What are the different materials used for retaining walls?
A: There are various choices for materials that can be used; for example you can use natural stone blocks, precast, concrete, boulders, railroad ties, and there are even limestone retaining walls.

Q9. Should I get an engineer to oversee the project?
