Campbell, Calif., June 2, 2010 Coulomb Technologies today announced that the house and the public seems ChargePoint ® network charging stations for electric cars in the United States. ChargePoint program America will provide almost 5,000 charging stations for participants in nine regions in the United States: Austin, Texas, Detroit, Los Angeles, New York, Orlando, Florida, Sacramento, California, San Jose / San Francisco Bay area, Redmond, Wash., and Washington and strategic partnerships with three leading brands of cars, including Ford, Chevrolet and U.S. intelligence. Coulomb is the largest fixed network base station, charging around the world, more than 700 units shipped to over 130 clients in 2009. ChargePoint install charging stations for electric cars will begin immediately.
$37,000,000 ChargePoint America program is made possible by $15,000,000 grants financed by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act initiatives managed by the Transport Department of Electrical Energy. ChargePoint charging stations are now available for installation in all nine regional designated metropolitan areas in the United States. More than 1,000 new public charging stations will be installed by December 2010, adding to the existing network ChargePoint. Other stations will be installed in September 2011.
To support the program ChargePoint three American automakers have committed to provide electric vehicles in designated regions of the United States. Chevrolet Volt, Ford Transit Connect and the Ford Focus electrical power through the Ford Blue Oval ChargePoint program, and the smart fortwo electric drive is introduced along with this program.
The Obama administration has set important and meaningful targets the widespread introduction of electric vehicles in the United States.
